1 1 2, Okmulgee Daily Times, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 Nova Coy Services for Nova Coy, 74, who died January 8, 2010, were held at 2:00 Tuesday, United Pentecostal Church, Morris, Ok. Burial was in the Morris City Cemetery. Opal L. Jeffries Opal L. Jeffries, age 86, died at her home in Sugar Land, Texas December 24, 2009 after a lengthy illness.

Opal retired from the Okmulgee Public Schools after serving as an administrative assistant to the athletic director. She was born in Breckenridge, Texas to Ira and Mary Gilland. During WWII she met and married Lynn F. JEffries and following the war they moved to Okmulgee. Opal was active member of the Pony Girls, served in several positions with the VFW Auxilary, and the Pink Ladies as a volunteer at Okmulgee Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lynn and son Fred Jeffries. Opal is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert and Tera Jeffries, Sugar Land, Texas, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister Mary Lois Jacobs, Burleson, Texas and her brother Richard B. Gilland, Ft. Worth, Texas.

Eischens was last seen cleaning out his truck and leaving it at a truck stop in Montana on Christmas Day. He was reported missing last week by his family in Anna, Texas. Anna police say Eischens called his mother and brother on Saturday.

His brother says Eischens hitched a ride with another truck driver to Iowa because he didn't want to be a burden and didn't realize he was considered missing. Byrd (19) was taken into custody for Minor in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, Attempting to Elude, and Failure to Comply With a Lawful Order. Sgt. Higgs III Higgs is the fifth of 6 children born to Rev. O.G.d and Eunice Higgs Jr. of Okmulgee. He attended Okmulgee Public Schools, graduating in 1986. He went on to attend East Central University until he joined the United States military where he served in the Army Special Unit Infantry Division for five years.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, Higgs began working for the Okmulgee County Sheriff Office in October 1992, where he is still employed. He began his career in law enforcement as a jailer, jail adminstration, undersheriff and currently serves as deputy office manager. Higgs answered God's calling in 1999 and began ministering. He currently pastors in Muskogee at the Church of the Living God Temple since 2000 and the associate pastor at the Church of the Living God Temple in Okmulgee where his father 0.G. Higgs Jr.

is the pastor. Higgs and his wife of 21 years, Della, have two daughters, Cherelle and Erika who both reside and attend college in Prairie View, TX. Todd Johnson Todd was born, raised, and attended school in Manhattan Kansas. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. In 1994 he and his family moved to Muskogee. He attended and graduated from Connors State College and later went on to attend Northeastern State University. Johnson is employed at the Jack C.

Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Muskogee. He travels extensively conducting training sessions in several employee development programs and supervisor training programs sponsored by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Todd has personally mentored over 20 employees locally, and is currently coaching 4 employees that are at VA medical centers in other parts of the country. He is an Ordained Elder and attends New Balm Outreach Ministries, in Muskogee. He has created an organization that focuses on empowering young men called Young Men of Purpose (YMP).

Johnson resides in Muskogee with his wife of 16 years Danita, and their two teenage boys, Erik and Don 'Trae. Danita Johnson Danita Johnson is a native of Muskogee Oklahoma. She attended Muskogee Public Schools, graduated from Muskogee High School in 1987. She received an Associates of Arts Degree from Connors State College in 1998 and a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Northeastern State University in 2002. She is an Army veteran who continues to serve her community as a mentor for the Muskogee Public School systems.

Over the years Danita proudly continued to volunteer her time and service as a Boy Scout Troop Leader, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and past Chapter President of the Muskogee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc (DST). Officials ordered 5 percent across-the-board state agency budget cuts in August to cope with declining revenue and later extended the cuts through the June 30 end of the fiscal year.
