People across the UK are being urged to find the fun in fundraising this Friday with cake sales, charity challenges, and fancy dress days, all while wearing the iconic red nose.
And as the day draws to a close, the BBC will host a star-studded telethon to prove Red Nose Day is still fab at forty.

The day is devoted to encouraging everyone to do something funny for money and will culminate with an evening of sketches, live performances, music and fundraising in a BBC telethon.
The programme starts on BBC One at 7pm and runs until 10pm before switching to BBC Two from 10pm to 10.40pm.
Who is presenting Red Nose Day 2025?
Presenting the action live from the studio at Media City in Salford will be an all-star line-up of hosts past and present.
Jonathan Ross, who hosted the first-ever Comic Relief telethon, is back again on Friday night.
Fellow Comic Relief veterans Davina McCall, Alesha Dixon and Joel Dommett are also on the roll call for the telethon.
New to the presenting team on BBC One from 7pm-10pm are Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark.
While Tom Allen and presenter AJ Odudu take over from 10pm on BBC Two.
What will the Red Nose Day sketches be?
Strictly Come Dancing The New Pro Dancers

Two new dancers join the Strictly Come Dancing professional line-up for Comic Relief.
Melissa (Rachel Parris) and Johnny (Russell Kane) are the unlikely newcomers, who take on the challenge due to new inclusivity rules, which require a certain percentage of professionals to be… amateurs!
Filmed in an observational documentary style, the sketch tracks their surprising audition process as Melissa and Johnny land the job as Strictly’s first-ever amateur professional dancers.
A twist of fate sees both their celebrity partners mysteriously pull out of the next series at the last minute, citing identical farcical injuries.
But Tess and Claudia, always quick on their feet, hatch a clever plan.
The Gladiators with Chabuddy G

Kurrupt FM’s self-appointed manager Chabuddy G is stepping into the legendary Gladiators arena for an exclusive Red Nose Day 2025 showdown.
Full of confidence and bravado, Chabuddy G arrives at Sheffield Arena convinced he’s about to join the ranks of the mighty Gladiators.
But his dream of domination is short-lived when he discovers he’s not a Gladiator at all – he’s a contender whose first challenge is a head-to-head duel with none other than human powerhouse Bionic.
Chabuddy G said: “It was amazing filming this sketch with the Gladiators gang for Comic Relief.
“A lot of people don’t know this but the G in Chabuddy G actually stands for Gladiator!”
Can Chabuddy G hold his own or will Bionic bring his dreams crashing down?
And more importantly, what Gladiator name will he bestow upon himself?
The Traitors

Alexander, Charlotte, Fozia, Linda and Minah from series three of The Traitors have reunited for an online sketch for Red Nose Day.
The five go head to head in a bid to win the Rare Ruby Red Nose and be crowned the funniest traitor of them all.
No shields, no cloaks and not a murder or banishment in sight – this is a battle of the laughs which will be a treat for fans of the show.
Each traitor is tasked with donning their red nose and taking it in turns to make their fellow traitors laugh by completing a different task.
Expect more of Linda’s theatrical flair, Alexander’s operatic prowess, Minah’s best dad joke, Charlotte’s ever-changing accent and Fozia’s Claudia Winkleman impression.
Oasis: The Reunion: The Movie

An Inbetweeners reunion is on the cards as James Buckley and Joe Thomas take on the roles of legendary Gallagher brothers Liam and Noel in a parody charting their journey from Manchester lads to global rock superstars.
Expect drama, sibling showdowns and unexpected celebrity cameos wrapped up in a heavy dose of Britpop nostalgia, iconic 90s music moments and cheeky humour.
A star-studded cast featuring Hugh Dennis, Martin Lewis, Micky Flanagan, Vernon Kay, Mark Silcox, Tasha Ghouri, Melvin Odoom, Roisin Conaty, and Piers Morgan, will also be stepping into memorable roles from Oasis’s legendary rise to stardom.
Buckley said: “I had such a fun time with Joe, making this sketch for Comic Relief, and was honoured to be asked to be a part of it.
“And, of course, being a huge Oasis fan, getting to be Liam for the day was a dream come true.”
Not Going Beyond Paradise

Mistaken identity causes mayhem when the worlds of two of the BBC’s best-loved programmes collide for the first time ever for Comic Relief.
Sally Bretton, who plays both Lee’s wife Lucy in Not Going Out and DI Humphrey Goodman’s wife Martha Lloyd in Beyond Paradise, takes on both roles in a mix-up of mistaken identities.
Joining Sally Bretton are her on-screen husbands: Lee Mack, who plays Lee in Not Going Out, and Kris Marshall, who plays DI Humphrey Goodman in Beyond Paradise.
Zahra Ahmadi also appears as Esther Williams from Beyond Paradise and fans will spot more familiar faces from both shows throughout the sketch.
Bretton says: “It was great fun to have the two worlds collide, play my own doppelganger and get swept up in the madness that comes with that!
“It was particularly special to be doing it all for such a brilliant cause as Comic Relief.
“The sketch was filmed at such high speed, we didn’t know if we were coming or going.
“I don’t know how Lee Mack holds all the moving parts in his head.”
