m-What?

m-Path is a free and GDPR compliant platform for practitioners and their clients who wish to extend psychological treatment beyond the therapy room. Flexibly tailored around the specific needs of each therapeutic phase, m-Path is designed to provide practitioners with a unique first-seat insight into the everyday life of their clients. In an assessment phase, m-Path can repeatedly fire short momentary surveys to get a better understanding of the nature, causes and consequences of symptoms or complaints, the daily activities of a client, and his or her therapeutic progress over time. In anintervention stage, m-Path can be used to schedule and implement real-time therapeutic exercises, assignments or reminders, and to evaluate their effectiveness in the moment. Consulting the online dashboard with all information concisely summarized in the form of intuitive timelines, charts and graphs, practitioners are equipped with an excellent feedback tool to evaluate and adjust their therapy goals, and to discuss critical insights with their clients in the actual therapy session.

01

Connect

Once a client has the app installed on his or her mobile phone, he or she can connect to any registered practitioner on m-Path. Practitioners can create an accounthere.

03

Track

The client receives notifications on the scheduled moments, and is asked to complete a short questionnaire or exercise designed by the practitioner. Responses and compliance are automatically and securely processed and stored into the practitioner’s dashboard.

Who are we?

We, Merijn Mestdagh, Stijn Verdonck, Maarten Piot and Egon Dejonckheere are a multidisciplinary team, with respectively expertise in the fields of engineering, physics, UX web development, and clinical psychology. We are all affiliated with the research group Quantitative Psychology and Individual Differences at the KU Leuven, where we develop and improve quantitative models to answer substantive psychological questions about individual differences in mental well-being and emotion (dynamics). We are currently funded by a C3 Grant provided by the IOF council of the KU Leuven.
